Man dies in hotel room after checking in with lady in Port Harcourt

A young man, name undisclosed, has been confirmed dead after checking into a hotel room with a lady along Ada-George axis of Port Harcourt in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

It was gathered that a guest in the hotel who pleaded anonymity said the lady who checked in with the deceased raised an alarm at about 2am after the man reportedly slumped.

Reports say the manager of the hotel and security men came out and rushed the man to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.

Meanwhile, sources at the hotel say the lady informed them that the deceased allegedly took a locally made concoction (manpower) at a local joint before checking into the hotel with her.

Following the incident, a senior officer attached to the Rumupakani police station confirmed the detention of the manager and the lady while noting that the case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.
