Man City to make huge profit as agreement reached with Atletico Madrid for Alvarez

Manchester City have accepted a record-breaking bid of £81.5 million from Atletico Madrid for striker Julian Alvarez.

This marks almost six times the amount City paid for the Argentine two years ago when he joined the club for £14 million from River Plate.

Recall Alvarez, 24, has expressed dissatisfaction with his lack of involvement in some of City’s crucial matches over the past two years.

Following Argentina’s exit from the Olympics, he hinted at a potential move, attracting interest from several clubs, including Arsenal.

Atletico’s offer includes £64.4 million up front, with an additional £17 million in add-ons, making it a record sale for Manchester City.

Despite his substantial involvement last season, Alvarez’s frustration with being sidelined for key games led to this development.

Meanwhile, Alvarez has yet to agree to personal terms with Atletico.
