Louis Saha urges Manchester United to consider Benzema for attacking woes
Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has suggested that the club should sign Al-Ittihad forward Karim Benzema.
Saha believes the 36-year-old former Real Madrid star is what United need to bolster their attacking ranks and be more clinical in front of goal.
“Benzema would change Manchester United’s attack, and it’s exactly what they need right now. He would definitely score goals and also guarantee better team play.”
However, despite Saha’s recommendation, reports show that Benzema’s departure from Saudi Arabia is unlikely in the near future.
Benzema joined Al-Ittihad last summer for a record fee, and while he boasts impressive record of 12 goals and five assists in 20 games, questions have been asked about his current form.
His recent absence from training on December 28th and 29th, have fueled speculation about his future with the club.
Meanwhile, MARCA reported that his representatives clarified that the absence was due to a foot injury, when contacted.
