Liverpool thrash West Ham 5-1 to book spot in Carabao Cup semi-final
Liverpool have sealed their sit in the Carabao Cup semi-finals after a dominant 5-1 victory against West Ham at Anfield on Wednesday.
Despite a record 34 unconverted shots in their previous game against Manchester United, Liverpool found their scoring touch in the hike encounter.
The match saw Liverpool initially struggle to convert chances, but they broke the deadlock with a 25-yard strike from Dominik Szoboslai.
Following the new signing, was Curtis Jones, Cody Gakpo, and Mohamed Salah, who added to Liverpool’s lead in the second half.
Although Jarrod Bowen scored a consolation goal for West Ham, the night belonged to Liverpool.
The win secured Liverpool’s place in the semi-finals of a competition they are eager to win for the 10th time.
