Liverpool stage comeback to pipe Luton 4-1, extends EPL lead
Liverpool showed their mettle and in a thrilling 4-1 win over Luton Town, extending their lead at the top of the Premier League table.
They now lead their closest rivals Manchester City by four four points.
Despite trailing Luton for the second time this season, Liverpool mounted a second-half comeback with goals from Virgil van Dijk, Cody Gakpo, Luis Diaz, and Harvey Elliott.
Jurgen Klopp’s side has now collected an impressive 22 points from losing positions in 26 Premier League matches this season.
Despite missing several key players due to injuries, including Darwin Nunez and Mo Salah, Liverpool showed character to secure the win.
Luton, fighting relegation, took an early lead through Chiedozie Ogbene’s header but couldn’t hold off Liverpool’s continued pressure.
The defeat keeps them in the relegation zone on goal difference.
