Liverpool eye Valencia’s Mamardashvili in over €30m deal

Liverpool are reportedly preparing to enter negotiations for Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, with transfer fee expected to exceed €30 million.

The 23-year-old Georgian international has caught the attention of the Reds as a long-term prospect, despite Alisson Becker’s firm grip on the number one spot at Anfield.

According to Football Espana, Mamardashvili had previously turned down lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia, holding out for an opportunity with a top European club.

Liverpool have now emerged as serious contenders, with plans to sign the talented shot-stopper and loan him out.

Reports suggest that he could be loaned to Bournemouth or another Premier League side, allowing him to gain experience while Alisson remains the first choice.

Valencia, aware of Liverpool’s interest, are keen to secure a substantial fee for the deal, aiming to push the final price closer to €40 million, including add-ons.
