Leicester stars party with ‘Enzo I miss you’ sign just before their manager’s sacking
Leicester City players were spotted partying in Copenhagen’s Museo nightclub just hours after their 2-1 defeat to Chelsea.
Recall the loss ultimately led to manager Steve Cooper’s sacking on Sunday.
Video footage circulating in Danish media shows players, including Harry Winks, Conor Coady, Jannik Vestergaard, and Victor Kristiansen, enjoying themselves at the venue.
Intriguingly, a banner reading “Enzo I Miss U” was seen nearby, referencing former Foxes manager Enzo Maresca, now at Chelsea.
The event reportedly served as Leicester’s Christmas party, but its timing raised eyebrows, especially as Cooper was dismissed on Sunday afternoon.
The manager’s tenure lasted only 157 days, with the Foxes sitting just one point above the relegation zone after 12 matches.
Tensions between Cooper and certain players had been brewing.
Winks and Vestergaard were said to have clashed with the manager, with the latter reportedly banned from training at one stage.
Cooper, tasked with maintaining Leicester’s Premier League status, faced mounting pressure from owner Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, who acted quickly to avoid another relegation.
