Lead British School shut down over bullying controversy
Following a trending video of a student, Namtira Bwala, getting bullied by Maryam Hassan, Lead British School has been shut down for three days.
Owing to the call for justice from many social media users, the minister for women affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye was in the school to address the situation.
In order to ensure quick justice and ensure investigation to be carried out, the school was temporarily closed.
They also promised to carry out proper disciplinary measures against the perpetrators while promising a comprehensive education for the entire school on bullying.

@IsraelInnocent_ said: “Just a bad habit from principal to the students because if you are not an enabler, there is no way such will happen.”
@OIOlawale asked: “Where’s the Minister for Education in all of this?
What’s the rationale for shutting down the school?
After three days what next? Jesus will resurrect again?
Really wonder how our decision making works? Is it strategic, reactionary or just convenient?”
@terkxofficial stated: “@GovWike should just demolish that school for rn they’re distorting the master plan of Abuja. They should be shut down till further notice”
@tomileko commented: “They should start with expelling the bullies first before shutting down the school 🤦🏽♀️”
