Lagos State Government reopens Cubana Chief Priest’s Restaurant days after closure
Lagos State authorities have lifted their seal instruction on the restaurant of socialite Cubana Chief Priest after days of shutting it down over repeated environmental violations, including noise pollution.
Gistreel had reported days ago that the commissioner for Environment Tokunbo Wahab announced the closure via the microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter).
According to him, the action was taken after several warnings due to noise pollution and other environmental infractions.
Wahab wrote:
“After several warnings and abatement notices, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency @LasepaOfficial sealed Donald’s Fast Food on Adebayo Doherty Street, Lekki 1 over noise pollution and other environmental infractions.”
Photos attached to the post showed the restaurant being sealed, as well as some government agents parading the facility.
Recall the restaurant has only been open for a few weeks.
