Lady passes away following week-long labour due to husband’s refusal to take her to hospital

Tragedy strikes as a pregnant lady passes away after going through a week-long labour due to husband’s refusal to take her to the hospital.

The incident was shared on Facebook by a netizen known as Jane Àríké Francis who revealed that the deceased was his neighbor.

According to his account, the lady had been in labor for long, and the husband had refused to take her to the hospital, noting that she had been delivering all her other kids at home.

Subsequently, she was later taken to the hospital where she was operated on, but the baby had sadly passed on.

It was noted that the lady passed on a week later.

“I just lost a neighbor this afternoon, and I feel really traumatized about it because this was such an avoidable death.
This woman had been in labor for a week. She gave birth to her first and second children at home, but for this one, the midwife said she needed to be operated on, seeing that she couldn’t deliver on her own. However, her husband refused and said, “This isn’t her first time giving birth on her own.” So, he left her at home.
On Wednesday, when she couldn’t bear the pain any longer, they finally took her to the hospital for the C-section, which was successful, but unfortunately, the child was already dead. Today, she passed away too,” the post read.
