Lady heartbroken as she takes loan to fund relocation to the UK, becomes jobless for months, now homeless
UK-based TikToker exposes harsh reality of a Ghanaian migrant's UK experience
A UK-based TikToker has shed light on the unfortunate plight of a lady who embarked on a journey to the UK in search of a better life but found herself in a desperate situation after taking loan to fund her relocation.
Through an audio clip shared on TikTok, the UK-based user identified as Abena Mercedes revealed the distressing circumstances faced by the Ghanaian lady, whose identity remains undisclosed, as she reached out for help and support.
The lady, who had migrated to the UK, shared her heartbreaking story with Abena Mercedes, shedding tears as she detailed the hardships she has endured since her arrival.
According to the audio clip, the Ghanaian lady took a loan, with the assistance of her mother, to relocate to the UK in the hope of securing better job opportunities.
Regrettably, her dreams were shattered when her prospective employers denied her the job she had anticipated.
Four months into her journey, she finds herself not only jobless but also homeless, with no clear means of securing her next meal.
Her desperation is compounded by the fact that the lenders who provided her with the loan are now pursuing her mother.
“Now the lenders are pursuing my mother for the loan she took, anytime she calls me, I feel troubled, which really pains me. I also left behind my child in Ghana, and I am thinking about how he will be fed.”
She has been separated from her child in Ghana and expressed deep concerns about the child’s well-being and access to basic necessities.
In her plea to Abena Mercedes and the broader TikTok community, the distressed Ghanaian lady requested assistance in raising awareness about her dire situation and appealed for support in finding a job to secure her livelihood in the UK.
