Lady cancels wedding a day to party over ‘bond with wrong soul’
A young Nigerian lady has surprised her family and friends by cancelling her traditional wedding scheduled for January 8, 2025, in Otolo, Nnewi.
The lady identified as Amara Vanessa from Nnewi, Anambra State made the announcement via social media a day before the event.
In a heartfelt Facebook post on January 7, Amara revealed that she decided to call off the wedding for personal reasons, emphasizing her desire for love and the right partner.
“Anywhere you see me, just dash me money because 2024 showed me shege and pepper with a little bit of ice cream mixed with bitter leaf, then medium size of fufu and ora soup, but I came out stronger and better,” she humorously wrote.
Reflecting on her decision, Amara added, “I was supposed to be married tomorrow, but I cancelled it due to some personal reasons. I can’t afford any more situations in my life that bring out the worst in me.”
“I can’t afford bonding with another wrong soul. It’s exhausting and requires too much for me to recover from. I need calmness and gentleness in my life. I need love, and I need my own man.”
