Lady appreciates boyfriend for staying when she cheated, had a baby, others
An African American lady has ignited a heated conversation after publicly praising her boyfriend for staying with her despite numerous challenges in their relationship.
A Facebook post by Minnie F. Baby stepped on nerves after expressing deep appreciation for her partner’s unconditional love.
She gushed over his resilience and commitment despite her actions, which included cheating, having a baby outside the relationship, and even getting married to someone else.
Her post read:
“When I cheated, YOU STAYED! When I had a baby on you, you took care of me! When I left you when you was at your lowest, YOU took me back when you came up! When I got married and told you that we could still date in private, YOU AGREED!
“Baby, the day you told me you rather have some of me than to not have me at all, you made me realize what unconditional love is. You’ve loved me genuinely and through all l’ve put you through, you still choose me. You’re the true definition of a king! I love the way you love me!!!!!!!!!”
Backlash and defense
The post quickly went viral, with many people criticizing Minnie for publicly acknowledging behaviours that some deemed disrespectful and exploitative.
Critics labelled her boyfriend as a “doormat” for tolerating such treatment, while others argued that her actions lacked respect and accountability.
In a follow-up video, Minnie addressed the backlash, defending her partner and condemning those criticizing him.
She stated:
“I am not gonna tolerate no disrespect on this internet. You lots don’t know what real love is. He’s not a simp, he’s my king.”
