La Liga: Vinicius Junior’s hat-trick powers Real Madrid to 4-0 win over Osasuna
Real Madrid bounced back from recent defeat to AC Milan with a dominant 4-0 win over Osasuna, thanks to Vinicius Junior.
Vinicius led the charge at Santiago Bernabeu, netting a hat-trick that helped his side reclaim crucial points in La Liga.
Real Madrid started strong but suffered setbacks early on, losing Rodrygo Goes and Eder Militao to injuries before the opening goal.
Militao’s injury is especially concerning, as there are fears of a second ACL rupture in as many seasons.
Vinicius broke the deadlock in the 34th minute, putting Madrid ahead.
Just before halftime, Jude Bellingham, assisted by young defender Raul Asencio, who had stepped in for the injured Militao, doubled the lead with his first goal of the season.
Madrid extended their lead in the second half, with Vinicius completing his hat-trick in quick succession.
His second goal came after a brilliant pass from goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, and Brahim Diaz set him up for his third.
With this win, Real Madrid moves within six points of league leaders Barcelona, who can restore their nine-point lead with a win against Real Sociedad on Sunday.
