La Liga: Real Madrid extend title lead with 4-0 win over Celta Vigo
Real Madrid reclaimed their seven-point lead at the top of La Liga with a thrilling 4-0 win over Celta Vigo at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid took an early lead in the game through Vinicius Junior, who capitalized on a rebound after Antonio Rudiger’s header was saved by Vicente Guaita.
The home side continued to dominate, and Rudiger’s header later found the net off Guaita, extending Madrid’s lead to 2-0.
Celta Vigo tried to mount a comeback in the second half, but their efforts were in vain as Carlos Dominguez scored an own goal, further increasing Madrid’s advantage.
Arda Guler then sealed the win with a skillful finish, marking his first goal for Real Madrid.
With this victory, Real Madrid now sit comfortably at the top of the La Liga table, seven points ahead of Girona.
On the other hand, Celta Vigo remains in 18th place, just two points clear of the relegation zone.
