La Liga: Endrick Felipe scores first goal as Real Madrid mark first win of campaign

Real Madrid claimed their first win of the 2024/25 La Liga season with a 3-0 win over Real Valladolid at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Though it was a less-than-convincing performance from Carlo Ancelotti’s side, the Spanish giants were able to secure all three points.

The first half was frustrating for the hosts, as they struggled to break down Valladolid’s solid defense.

Despite dominating possession, Real Madrid created few clear chances, with Kylian Mbappe coming close to scoring, only to be denied by Valladolid goalkeeper Karl Hein.

The breakthrough came early in the second half. Federico Valverde, known for his long-range strikes, fired in a free-kick from 25 yards, aided by a deflection that left Hein helpless.

The goal lifted the pressure off Madrid, allowing them to play more freely.

Despite several opportunities, including missed chances from Arda Guler and Rodrygo, Real Madrid couldn’t extend their lead until late in the game.

Substitute Brahim Diaz added a second goal in that 88th minute.

Felipe then capped off the match with his first goal for Real Madrid.

This win puts Real Madrid on the board with their first three points of the season, though they remain two points behind early leaders Celta Vigo and Barcelona.
