Bayern confirm Zinedine Zidane not on their list to replace Tuchel

Bayern Munich’s hunt for a new head coach has faced numerous setbacks, with several high-profile candidates rejecting the position.

The latest development sees the club ruling out Zinedine Zidane as a potential successor to Thomas Tuchel.

Initially, Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso was Bayern’s top choice. However, Alonso has committed his long-term future to Leverkusen.

Since then, Julian Nagelsmann, Ralf Rangnick, Oliver Glasner, and Roger Schmidt have also declined the opportunity to manage the Bavarian giants.

So far also, Unai Emery, Roberto De Zerbi, and Julen Lopetegui have expressed no interest in taking up the role.

According to Bild, Bayern Munich have now confirmed that they do not wish to appoint Zinedine Zidane as their next head coach.

This further narrows their options, with club Director of Sport, Max Eberl, under immense pressure to find a suitable candidate.

But despite the challenges, Eberl believes the German giants will find the right manager soon.

Speaking to Sky Germany, he said, “We will find a good solution. A very good friend of mine always says: The best comes last.”
