Juventus target PSG’s Marco Asensio for January move
Juventus are reportedly eyeing a move for Paris Saint-Germain attacker Marco Asensio in the January transfer window, according to Foot Mercato.
The Italian club are keen to strengthen their attacking options, with Asensio’s versatility a key factor in their interest.
The 28-year-old Spanish international has enjoyed consistent game time this season, stepping up during Gonçalo Ramos’ early-season injury.
Though primarily deployed as a false nine at PSG, Asensio is equally adept on the wings or in a playmaking number ten role—qualities that appeal to Juventus manager Thiago Motta.
The report suggests Juventus are considering a loan deal with an option to buy.
However, the player’s €10 million annual salary could be a stumbling block.
Negotiations are expected to revolve around the division of Asensio’s wages, with PSG likely to cover part of the amount to facilitate the move.
Asensio joined PSG on a free transfer from Real Madrid in 2023 and has contributed solid performances during his time in Ligue 1.
