Jamie O’Hara calls for Postecoglou’s sacking after Tottenham’s FA Cup exit

Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has called for Ange Postecoglou to be sacked following Spurs’ 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa.

Spurs’ hopes of ending their 17-year trophy drought took another hit as Jacob Ramsey opened the scoring for Villa inside the first minute.

Morgan Rogers doubled the lead in the second half before Mathys Tel pulled one back late, but it was only a consolation.

Tottenham have now been eliminated from the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, with their Premier League title hopes fading, leaving the Europa League as their only remaining chance for silverware this season.

Reacting to the defeat, O’Hara took to social media, writing on X (formerly Twitter):

“It’s time to go now, Ange is out of his depth. Emery is on a different planet compared to him.

“His players bopped us off the park. Should have been five. We’re like a reserve team playing academy games that don’t matter.”

Despite the criticism, Spurs’ FA Cup exit reduces their fixture congestion, potentially allowing injured players more time to recover.

However, Postecoglou faces pressure to turn things around when Tottenham host Manchester United on February 16.
