“It’s only you Jesus, only you” — Ayraa Starr rejoices as she bags first Grammy nomination
Young Afrobeats musician, Ayra Starr has taken to her Twitter page to rejoice after bagging her first Grammy nomination.
The “Rush” crooner was nominated for her song in the category of Best African Music Performance and she is up against fellow Nigerian artists Davido, Burna Boy and Olamide.
Ayra Starr is the first and youngest Nigerian female artist to be nominated in this category and the 21 year old could not believe her luck at being nominated for the biggest music awards on the planet.
She took to her X account to say;
“Ayra Grammy nominated Starr !!! It’s only you Jesus , only you !”
The award would be given in February 2024 at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards holding at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
