Mauricio Pochettino has charge Chelsea players to give their all when they face Arsenal in a highly anticipated Premier League clash tonight.
The Argentine gaffer plays down on the continuous reliance on youngster Cole Palmer to save the team in crucial outings.
He makes demand of his boys to show they can win tough games even without the Manchester City academy graduate.
“It’s a good challenge if Palmer is not available vs Arsenal.
“If I were them, I would be motivated to go there tomorrow and show that this is Chelsea Football Club, not Cole Palmer Football Club,” Pochettino said during a pre-match interview, and reported by Fabrizio Romano.
Recall that Palmer was on Monday announced ill by the club, after facing his former team the day before.
Although Chelsea lost the match, the 21-year-old was a standout performer, especially with the chances he created that were missed by forward Nicolas Jackson.
While Arsenal relatively have their full team ready for the game, Chelsea still battle with injury worries, with several key players on the sidelines.
Malo Gusto and Ben Chilwell are among recent additions to the club’s injury list, while Christopher Nkunku, Robert Sanchez and Lesley Ugochukwu are back to partial team training.
Chelsea clash with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium will kick-off by 8pm.
