“Is 40 the deadline for marriage” – Toke Makinwa reacts to pressure of starting a family

Nigerian author and On-air personality, Toke Makinwa has reacted to the disturbing comments of people who frequently slam her for not settling down and starting a family already.

In a recent tweet, Toke Makinwa expressed discomfort and feels irritated by the worrisome things people continually ask and pester her about, which centers around getting married and having children.

Lamenting on her verified Twitter handle, she said:

“When did growing older become an insult??? Like, Nigerians will use everything to insult you. Don’t go and marry, you can’t keep a man, don’t go and born, keep cruising till you reach 40, like is 40 the deadline??? I’m not understanding”

This opinion of some people does not seem to go down well with her.
