Inter Milan eye loan move for out-of-favour Man United forward Mason Mount

Inter Milan are reportedly considering a loan move for out-of-favour Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount, with an option to buy.

According to InterLive, the Italian club are looking for a long-term replacement for Henrikh Mkhitaryan (36) and sees Mount as a potential fit.

However, United may be required to cover a significant portion of his £250,000-a-week wages to facilitate the deal.

Mount, signed from Chelsea in 2023 for £55 million, has struggled with injuries, making just 32 appearances and contributing one goal and one assist for United.

The 26-year-old is currently sidelined with a leg injury but is expected to return in March.

With speculation growing over his future at Old Trafford, it remains to be seen whether United will offload the England international or if he will reclaim a place in Ruben Amorim’s plans.
