A popular influencer has launched a crowdfunding campaign to help secure the release of a University of Ilorin, UNILORIN graduate who was kidnapped while traveling to Port Harcourt for her NYSC program.

The kidnappers are demanding a ransom of ₦2.5 million.

The influencer shared the news via a post on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

He included an image of the victim and appealed to the public for urgent support, expressing concern about the limited time available to ensure her release.

His post read: “Rhoda, a graduate of UNILORIN, was kidnapped on her way to Port Harcourt for NYSC. The kidnappers are asking for ₦2.5 million.”

“I don’t know how much time we have left, but I trust we can pull this off. Here is her father’s number. Raise am 👏👏👏.”
