“I’m not an activist but a social media police” — VeryDarkMan clarifies
Controversial critic, Verydarkman widely recognized for his outspoken stance against unfair practices clarifies his role to the public amid growing discussions labeling him an “activist.”
In a video posted online, Verydarkman, dressed in a police-style uniform with a customized “VDM” tag, revealed that his mission is more aligned with that of the Nigeria Police Force—but an online version—than with traditional activism.
He described himself as an “online police” dedicated to combating various forms of oppression, especially cases involving vendors and individuals accused of exploitative practices.
Verydarkman emphasized that he is guided solely by evidence, explaining that he brings cases to light only when sufficient proof is provided. This impartial approach, he said, is essential for maintaining fairness and transparency.
“CSP VDM of the online division also shoutout to the Nigeria Police Force for their tireless efforts in fighting corruption in Nigeria, and I implore others to join hands together in making Nigeria a better place,” he captioned the post.
