“If you’re a gay man in Nigeria marry a woman” — Gay man advises fellows

A gay man has advised fellow gay men in Nigeria to get married to women as coverup because of the condemnation they face in the country.

He shared the post which has now received backlash on his Twitter account, @chimeeadioha.

This is coming just after Toyin Lawani exposed Nigerian gay men who get married to unsuspecting women and still cheat with other men.

The young man believes it is a means to escape the constant homophobia in Nigeria and these gay men should do all they can to survive.

In his words;

“Please, if you’re a homosexual man in Nigeria & you have the capacity & ability to marry a woman, please marry. Navigating an intense homophobic society where heterosexuality is forced upon you requires anything you can do to survive this oppression you can’t control.”

However, many Netizens have strongly condemned his actions and refuted his advise.
