“I wrote JAMB 5 times” – Singer, Crayon spills

Fast rising singer, Crayon has disclosed that he wrote the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board exam five times before stardom.

The budding musician revealed this in an interview Rubbin’ Minds on Sunday August 28, 2022.

According to the Mavin star, prior to becoming a well known singer, he had been making music since 2016 while waiting to gain admission into the university.

He had to sit for the JAMB exam five times; the first two, he failed but passed the other three but still couldn’t secure an admission.

Crayon stated that he feels not gaining admission then was God’s way of redirecting his path.

In his words:

“It has been amazing and beautiful to see because I have been working over the years and now, I am now finally getting the recognition that I deserve.

“So, it (recognition) is beautiful to see – among my fans, team, and everybody that knows me personally.

“I started making music like 2016 officially. I wasn’t in school then but trying to get into the university. I wrote JAMB five times.

“For the first two times, I failed; the rest three times, I passed. I kept going to the school to lay complaints and ask: ‘What’s up?’ It (gaining admission) wasn’t just happening for me.I feel like it was God’s way of redirecting me.”
