“I never complain” – Gabriel Jesus on Havertz taking his position at Arsenal
Brazilian star forward Gabriel Jesus is unfazed by recent talks about Kai Havertz taking his position at Arsenal.
Jesus who signed for the London club from Manchester City in July 2022, has been marred by continuous injury setbacks.
He also said himself that he can’t “remember the last time I played football with pain.”
However, his inconsistency has raised concerns that former Chelsea forward Kai Havertz might take his position permanently.
Reacting to the comments, Jesus said Havertz is a hardworking player and deserves whatever credit he gets playing for the Gunners.
“If you see the way he works he’s unbelievable. That’s the price you pay if you want to be in a big club.
“You have to fight to play. If you are not playing, the best thing you have to do is try to help,” adding “I never complain.”
Speaking about the possibility of Arsenal signing new striker in the summer, Jesus said, “Edu and Arteta already know if they want another striker or not, for sure!”
“My job is to work and train hard, to improve and help Arsenal win trophies. The speculation will always be there.”
Meanwhile, Arsenal face Bayern Munich today (Tuesday) in the Champions League quarter-final clash at the Emirates Stadium by 8:00pm.
