“I feel so lonely and old now” – Man regrets abandoning wife over body changes after giving birth to twins

A Nigerian man approaching age 40 expresses regret as he recounts how he abandoned his wife due to her body changes for a side chic following the birth of their twins.

An influencer on the microblogging platform, X identified as @Wizarab10 took to the platform to share an anonymous note received from a man.

In the note, the man narrated how he became irritated with his wife after she welcomed their children and how he opted for a side chic.

He added how his wife relocated abroad, which was a total green light for him to focus on his side chic but his wife cut all ties afterwards even though she allows the kids to visit at the end of the year.

Pouring out his pain, the man lamented his regret after his side chic dumped him to marry someone else.

“I broke my wife and I don’t think it’s fixable. My wife and I have been married for 5 years, we didn’t want children but then as we began to see our friends with their own kids.

“I eventually convinced her to let us have 1, she eventually got pregnant and God it was the most craziest experience ever, she went through a lot but then we survived it and she gave birth to twins.

“She had stretch marks all over her body, she added like 30kg and she even started smelling weird, I couldn’t bring myself to touch her again after. She’ll touch me and I would get nauseous immediately.

“I told her the truth about how I was feeling about her and everything, she didn’t take it too well and yes I also got a girlfriend and that was what shattered her.

“She just woke up one day and told me she want ro leave the country with the babies to give them a better life and I jumped at offer that atleast I still have my family and I can also be with my girl, she left after a month and it’s been 5 years since I last saw her physically.

“My sisters bring my children to Nig every dec and I have a good relationship with them but not my wife, she has cut off all ties With me, I’m close to 40 and my girlfriend said she wants to get married and she has someone, I had to let her go, i still see my friends that pushed me to have children with their own families here in Nig, I feel so lonely and old now.”
