A married Nigerian man recounts the key moment while dating his girlfriend that made him conclude she would be his wife someday.

In a post on X, @jon_d_doe revealed that his girlfriend at the time provided financial assistance just two weeks into their relationship.

She offered him the sum of N1k during their school days so he could travel to the village and purchase foodstuffs.

This generous gesture convinced him that she was the one for him. Now happily married, he recounted the incident to his wife, who playfully pretended not to recall the occurrence.

“I made up my mind to marry my wife when she gave me 1k in school so that I could travel to my village to get some food stuff. “This was like 2 weeks after we started dating. I told her this for the first time yesterday & she acted like she didn’t remember. But she was smiling,” he wrote.
