“How I left political thuggery and went to school” – Nigerian graduate shares inspirational journey of transformation

A Nigerian man, an automotive electrician named Saidu Imran has shared his inspiring journey from a life of political thuggery to becoming a university graduate over the course of 12 years.

According to Saidu Imran, in 2011, he was involved in political thuggery, a dark path that he once walked.

However, fate took a turn for the better in 2012 when he encountered a mentor figure who offered him an apprenticeship in auto-electricity. Grateful for the opportunity, he devoted himself to learning the craft and honing his skills.

According to Saidu, the journey to transformation was not easy for him, but he exhibited unwavering determination.After two years of hard work as an apprentice, he decided to take control of his future.

In 2014, he embarked on a self-funded educational pursuit and enrolled in a university to pursue a Bachelor’s degree. Despite the obstacles, his commitment to self-improvement and education never wavered, and he successfully attained his Bachelor’s degree in 2022.

In 2023, tragedy struck when he lost his son at birth. However, amidst the darkness, a glimmer of light shone through.

Monthly later, he became actively involved in the political arena and campaigned fervently for Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.

His efforts were not in vain, as he secured an entire ward for Peter obi, a significant achievement that showcases his dedication to a better Nigeria.

In his words;

“Here me out, in 2011 I was a political thug. In 2012, I met my Oga, interned and became an auto-electrician.

Btw 2014 and 2022 I self funded my Bsc, and my wedding. In 2023, I Lost my son at birth, secured an entire ward for Peter Obi and won it. Yeah, I am a stand up guy.”
