A newly married woman has reportedly landed in trouble barely one month after her wedding after attending a birthday party in Lagos despite objections from her husband.

According to the account, the couple live in Abeokuta, Ogun State, while the birthday celebration was organised by one of the woman’s close friends in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Her husband reportedly expressed discomfort with the trip, arguing that they had only been married for a month and that she should take things easy rather than travel to another state for parties.

The woman, however, reportedly interpreted his objection as an attempt to control her movements following their marriage. Despite further discussions between the couple, she eventually travelled from Abeokuta to Lagos for the celebration.

Birthday party reportedly raided

According to the account, the newlywed and some other attendees were allegedly found with substances said to include codeine, cannabis and Rohypnol tablets.
