Hazard, Drogba named in Chelsea’s greatest XI as club mark 120th anniversary

Chelsea have unveiled their best XI of all time, with legends Eden Hazard, Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard making the list as the club celebrate it 120th anniversary.
Founded in March 1905, Chelsea allowed fans worldwide to vote for their ‘Team of 120’ in a 4-3-3 formation, selecting standout players from the club’s history.
Goalkeeper Petr Čech was chosen for his 11-year dominance between the sticks.
The defense featured César Azpilicueta, John Terry, Thiago Silva and Ashley Cole.
In midfield, Lampard, Chelsea’s all-time top scorer, was joined by Claude Makélélé and N’Golo Kanté, two of the finest defensive midfielders to play for the club.
The attacking trio consisted of Drogba, Hazard, and Gianfranco Zola. Drogba, a four-time Premier League winner and Champions League hero, was an obvious pick.
Hazard, known for his dazzling dribbles and match-winning displays, joined Zola, the only player in the XI from before the Roman Abramovich era.
Chelsea, currently far from their past glory, remain in contention for silverware under Enzo Maresca, with the UEFA Conference League in their sights.
Their next match is a Premier League showdown against Tottenham on April 3.
