A Nigerian lady has raised alarm over harmful drugs disguised as candies reportedly making their way into schools across the country, urging parents to be vigilant.
In a post shared on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, the concerned individual revealed hearing about a dangerous candy-like substance capable of harming children.
She warned that this drug, known as “strawberry quick” or “strawberry meth,” allegedly comes in various flavors, including chocolate, peanut butter, cola, cherry, grape, and orange.
Sharing her concerns, she wrote: “I hear it has found its way into Nigerian schools. I hope it’s a hoax, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.”
“Please instruct your children not to accept candy from strangers or even from friends who may have unknowingly received it, thinking it’s harmless. Encourage them to report any suspicious candies to a teacher or principal. Let’s prevent any tragedies from occurring.” Â
She further urged parents to educate their children about the dangers of accepting candies, emphasizing the importance of staying cautious.
