Haaland unbothered by Man City’s 115 charges, confident in club’s future

Erling Haaland has dismissed any fears over potential punishment for Manchester City amid their 115 Premier League charges.
The Norwegian points to his record-breaking nine-and-half-year contract as proof of his trust in the club.
Haaland, who signed the longest contract ever agreed by a major club in January, reaffirmed his confidence despite ongoing uncertainty.
Recall the Premier League’s hearings concluded in December, with City manager Pep Guardiola expecting a verdict by the end of March.
Speaking in a press conference ahead of Norway’s World Cup qualifier against Moldova, Haaland made his stance clear:
“Obviously, I wouldn’t have signed a nine-and-half-year contract if I was worried. I’ve said many times why I signed – I talked to the club, got a good feeling, and made my decision.”
Despite City’s struggles this season—falling out of the Premier League title race and Champions League, Haaland remains focused on the what lies ahead.
“It’s different when you’ve won the league both years and now you’re not in the title race. But you can’t win every year. Now it’s about securing a Champions League place and going for the FA Cup.”
City currently sit fifth in the Premier League and are in the FA Cup quarterfinals, with Haaland continuing to be a key figure, scoring 29 goals this season.
