Gov Okpebholo swears in new Edo commissioners, assigns portfolios
Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has assigned portfolios to his newly appointed Commissioners.
This was revealed in a statement on Tuesday morning by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Umar Musa Ikhilor.
According to the statement, all Commissioners are required to assume duties in their respective Ministries immediately.
It read: “It is hereby announced for the information of the General Public that the Govenor of Edo State, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo has sworn in six (6) Commissioners into the State Executive Council.
“The newly sworn in Commissioners and their portfolios are:
“1. Hon. Paul Nosayaba Ohonbamu – Ministry of Information and Communications
“2. Hon. Dr. Washington Osa Osifo – Ministry of Water Resources and Energy
“3. Dr. Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu – Ministry of Education
“4. Sir (Dr.) Lucky Eseigbe- Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs
“5. Mr. Andrew Ijegbai – Ministry of Mining
“6. Barr. Marie Olabisi Idaomi – Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.”
