Ganduje leads delegation of APC Governors and Okpebholo to Presidential villa to meet Tinubu
All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje led a group of party governors to the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday to meet with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The meeting’s official goal was to introduce the President to Monday Okpebholo, the recently elected governor of Edo State.
Several APC governors accompanied Ganduje, including Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara, Uba Sani of Kaduna, Usman Ododo of Kogi, and Dapo Abiodun of Ogun.
Also present were Edo North Senator, Adams Oshiomhole and Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu.
A mild drama, however, played out during the visit as some members of the delegation, including Okpebholo, Idahosa and Shaibu, were seen kneeling down as they greeted President Tinubu.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had announced Okpebholo as the winner of the September 21 governorship election.
However, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) raised concerns, alleging irregularities during the electoral process. Despite the PDP’s objections, Okpebholo’s victory stands as INEC’s official declaration.
Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially presented the certificate of return to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Monday Okpebholo, following his victory in the Edo State governorship election.
The presentation took place at the INEC headquarters in Abuja on Thursday, solidifying Okpebholo’s position as the elected governor.
