Four Chelsea players set to depart this summer, says Fabrizio Romano
Chelsea are set for another squad overhaul, with four players expected to leave the club this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Romelu Lukaku, Trevoh Chalobah, Armando Broja, and David Datro Fofana are all likely to exit Stamford Bridge as the club continue to reshape it squad under coach Enzo Maresca.
Lukaku has reportedly agreed to a three-year deal with Napoli, finalizing his departure after months of speculation.
Meanwhile, Chalobah, who was left out of Chelsea’s pre-season tour in the USA due to an abundance of options in defense, is also on the verge of a permanent move.
Broja, despite joining the pre-season squad, failed to impress Maresca and has been made available for transfer.
David Datro Fofana, who joined Chelsea in January 2023 from Molde for €12 million, has already had two loan stints, first at Union Berlin and then at Burnley.
He is now being courted by clubs such as Villarreal, VFB Stuttgart, and Leicester City, with Stuttgart reportedly leading the race for his signature.
This summer market marks another period of changes for Chelsea, following the departure of academy star Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid.
