Former Ghanaian Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan praises Victor Osimhen after Cameroon game

Former Ghanaian captain Asamoah Gyan has hailed Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen following his outstanding performance against Cameroon

The Nigerians super Eagle clashed with the Cameroonians in the round of 16 of the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Touching remarks came after Nigeria defeated Cameroon 2-0 in the 2023 AFCON quarterfinals, sending their opponent packing to their home nation.

The game took place on January 27, 2024, at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Côte d’Ivoire.

Asamoah Gyan, who is still Africa’s best footballer, wrote on his X account that Victor Osimhen is a passionate player. He went on to say that the Nigerian striker’s passion throughout the game against Cameroon was what every country wants its players to do.

He wrote: “Osimhen plays with passion. That’s what every country wants their players to do”.
