First female Speaker in Ondo welcomes first child at 54

Mrs Jumoke Akindele-Ajulo, the first female Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, has given birth to her first child at the age of 54.

Jubilation rocked the South-Western state following the news of the first female Speaker’s child which many termed as a miracle from God.

The news of her newborn baby was shared on social media, with friends and political associates congratulating her.

A Facebook user identified as Segun Odidi broke the news and wrote in a post;

“What God cannot do doesn’t exist. First Female Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly delivered a bouncing baby on Saturday.

“Her first fruit!! What a cheering news! i’m so happy for you big sis. Congratulations Rt. Hon Jumoke Akindele.”

Akindele-Ajulo, who served as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Assembly from 2011 to 2019, held the position of Speaker from 2014 until her removal in 2017. She represented Okitipupa State Constituency 1 during her tenure.
