‘Feminism practiced in Nigeria is witchcraft’ – Tacha
Big Brother Naija reality show star Natacha Akide, often known as Tacha has described feminism in Nigeria as witchcraft.
The reality personality in an interview with Chude addressed her altercation with Mummy Zee on Twitter.
Recall that Tacha previously had a clash with Mummy Zee—the woman who gained notoriety for rising at 4:30 a.m. every day to prepare meals for her husband—after an interview on her colleague Phyna’s podcast.
“That one wey no get sense,” Mummy Zee said in response to a social media fan who had complained to her about Tacha making fun of her on a show.
In a series of social media posts, Tacha responded harshly to the woman, deeming her remark insulting.
In response, Tacha refuted the X user’s charge, saying that she was standing up for Mummy Zee on the program. Tacha addressed the topic during her widely shared interview with famous media personality Chude Jideonwo.
Tacha defined Nigerian feminism as witchcraft adding that feminists only contribute to discussions at the wrong time.
“So, I was praising this woman on my show, saying why was feminist trolling her because I love feminist then.
“I was like the feminism you people practiced in Nigeria is witchcraft because when you are supposed to come out you people won’t come out but for the wrong things you just hate men in general. That’s not what I practiced.”
