Female lecturer who earned N170k monthly in Nigeria reveals she now earns N2.8m weekly in Australia

A Nigerian lecturer now based in Australia, has stunned many on social media with her revelation of earning $1844 (approximately N2.8 million) per week.

The female lecturer, identified as Dr. Adélaïde, made this statement while supporting an argument on X (formerly Twitter) that ‘Nigeria is the definition of monkey dey work, baboon dey chop.

The lecturer contrasted her current earnings with her previous income in Nigeria, where she earned $110 (N170k) per month.

According to Dr. Adélaïde, her earnings in Australia are now over sixteen times higher than what she earned monthly in Nigeria for the same lecturing job.

Expressing her perspective on Twitter, she wrote:

“Let me break it down so you understand.

“When I was lecturing in Nigeria. I earned about $110 USD per month.

“But with the same lecturing job in Australia, I earn $1844 USD per week.

“Hope you understand now?”
