Father pleads for help as 5 kids drop out of school due to finances, Tunde Onakoya responds

A Nigerian father, whose five kids dropped out of school due to financial struggles, took to social media to seek help—and luck smiled on him.

Renowned chess player Tunde Onakoya stepped in, vowing to sponsor all the children until they graduate from university.

The father’s plea was shared on X (formerly Twitter), where he tagged prominent individuals, desperately seeking assistance after exhausting all options.

“Universe, I’m reaching out directly on behalf of my innocent children (plus my first son, who isn’t in this picture). They have dropped out of school this term and need an education.” 

“I’ve tried my best, but like many others, my purchasing power has been stripped away. 🙏🙏🙏”

Moved by his words, Tunde Onakoya responded by quoting the tweet and pledging his full support.

“Your children will definitely go back to school. @chessinslums will take full responsibility for their tuition until they complete university. ”

“I’ve also made a donation. May God keep you well and alive to witness your children’s success.”
