Ex-Chelsea star Victor Moses makes surprise return to England with Luton Town move

Former Chelsea star Victor Moses has completed a surprise move to Championship side Luton Town.

The 33-year-old, who won the Premier League with Chelsea in the 2016/17 season, joins on a free transfer after his stint with Spartak Moscow in Russia.

Moses expressed excitement about the move, stating, “I had offers from Europe, but I wanted to stay in England.

I’m honoured to be here and ready to work hard for the club.”

He added that his conversations with Luton’s management convinced him to be part of the team’s journey.

Meanwhile, Luton manager Rob Edwards welcomed the signing, noting Moses’ versatility and experience.

“Victor has trained with us and played in a behind-closed-doors match. He’s tactically aware and adds strength to our squad.

“We don’t expect too much too soon, but he’s fit and ready to contribute,” Edwards said.

Moses has had an illustrious career in English football, starting at Crystal Palace before moving to Wigan, where his performances earned him a move to Chelsea.

During his time at Stamford Bridge, he won the Premier League, FA Cup, and two Europa League titles.
