Everton suffered 2-1 defeat to Tottenham, ending their month-long run of form, courtesy of goals from Richarlison and Son Heung-min.

The duo fired Spurs into the top four of the Premier League, boosting their hopes in the title race.

Richarlison’s opening goal in the first half set the tone for the match, while Son’s goal further ensured the sides victory.

Despite Everton’s efforts, including a disallowed goal and a late goal from Andre Gomes, Tottenham managed to hold on to their lead.

The match also had its share of VAR controversy, with the disallowed goal by Everton.
