Eric Chelle closes Super Eagles training to media, fans ahead of Zimbabwe clash

Super Eagles head coach Éric Chelle has imposed strict restrictions on the team’s training session in Uyo, barring both journalists and fans from attending Sunday night’s workout.
The three-time African champions arrived in Uyo on Saturday afternoon following their 2-0 victory over Rwanda in Kigali during their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Friday night.
According to the team’s media officer, Promise Efoghe, the decision is aimed at maintaining maximum concentration as the Super Eagles prepare to face Zimbabwe.
The match slated for Tuesday will take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
However, Monday’s training session will be partially open, allowing the media 15 minutes of access, in line with FIFA regulations.
