EPL: Newcastle’s 17-year-old scores historic debut goal in 3-0 win against Fulham

Newcastle’s young talent Lewis Miley has now equalled Premier League record with debut goal in his sides 3-0 win against Fulham on Saturday.

Miley made a significant impact scoring at St James’ Park, matching a long-standing Premier League record previously held by a former Manchester United player.

Despite a challenging season so far for Newcastle, marred by injuries, Miley seems to have made a statement about his prowess.

In the second half, with Fulham reduced to ten men following Raul Jimenez’s dismissal, Miley seized the opportunity.

Bruno Guimaraes opened the play, delivering a pass to Miley, who calmly slotted the ball past Bernd Leno into the bottom corner.

Miley’s goal not only marked Newcastle’s seventh consecutive home league win but also saw him equal the record for the youngest Premier League goalscorer since Federico Macheda’s memorable goal in 2009.

Additionally, he also secured the title of Newcastle’s youngest-ever Premier League goalscorer.
