EPL: Late double strike secures Liverpool win against Fulham, after Mac Allister’s beauty
Liverpool staged a remarkable comeback, scoring two late goals in just two minutes to secure a dramatic 4-3 victory against Fulham.
Jurgen Klopp’s side faced the danger of a surprising defeat when Bobby Decordova-Reid headed Fulham into a 3-2 lead in the 80th minute.
However, Liverpool rose to the challenge with incredible fit in the final minutes of the match.
Wataru Endo, on 87 minutes, initiated Liverpool’s comeback with a crucial goal, leveling the score in the EPL encounter.
Just a minute later, Trent Alexander-Arnold sealed the turnaround with another goal, to double his tally, and completing Liverpool’s stunning late surge.
The deadlock was broken with a free-kick by Alexander-Arnold that struck the crossbar, rebounding off Fulham’s Bernd Leno to give Liverpool the lead. However, Fulham’s Harry Wilson responded swiftly to equalize.
Liverpool regained the lead when Alexis Mac Allister scored an extraordinary long-range effort.
Yet again, Fulham demonstrated their strength as Kenny Tete found the net in first-half stoppage time.
With the game entering its 90th minute, Decordova-Reid’s goal appeared to secure victory for Fulham, but Liverpool had other plans, as substitute Endo and vice-captain Alexander-Arnold’s late heroics sealed a comeback win at Anfield.
