EPL: Cole Palmer teases recovery ahead of Chelsea vs Arsenal showdown
Chelsea’s Cole Palmer provided an injury update that has fans hopeful ahead of the highly anticipated Premier League clash against Arsenal this Sunday.
The 22-year-old midfielder picked up a knee injury last weekend against Manchester United and while he hasn’t trained well this week, his recent Instagram post hints at a focused recovery.
Palmer shared a photo showing him using a “Game Ready” therapy wrap at Chelsea’s Cobham training facility, sparking optimism among supporters.
Palmer was also seen moving comfortably at Stamford Bridge on Thursday, where he attended Chelsea’s 8-0 Conference League win over FC Noah.
However, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca cautioned against over-optimism, explaining that while Palmer is making progress, his fitness remains uncertain.
“He’s getting better,” Maresca said, adding that the team will make a final decision closer to game day, hoping Palmer might participate in training on Saturday.
Palmer’s early season form has been impressive, with 12 goal contributions in just 10 league appearances.
His presence could be a game-changer for Chelsea, as they aim to gain a crucial edge over an Arsenal side struggling with injuries.
