EPL: Chelsea stars out to visit former clubs, after Pochettino threatened cancelation of days off
Despite Mauricio Pochettino threatening to cancel Chelsea’s days off after 4-1 defeat to Newcastle, some players have traveled to visit old clubs.
Mykhailo Mudryk shared an Instagram video from a helicopter, while Nicolas Jackson reunited with former Villarreal teammates in Spain.
Pochettino had publicly announced the cancellation of the players’ days off, stating they would “train early in the morning and not have a day off” after a disappointing performance at St James’ Park on Saturday.
The defeat against Newcastle saw Chelsea conceding four goals for the second consecutive game, despite a stunning free-kick from Raheem Sterling.
However, Mudryk who was introduced as a substitute in the second half of the match, shared a video from a city helicopter tour.
On the other hand, Jackson who netted nine goals in his final eight games for Villarreal last season before his £32 million move to Chelsea, celebrated a 3-1 win over Osasuna with his former teammates.
